delta 3200 discontinued?

Just curious...I stopped at a local camera shop and got some neopan 1600. I asked the salesperson for delta 3200 and he told me they stopped carrying the fil because it was discontinued? i hope the guy was wrong because i love that film. anyone know if this is true?

It is not discontinued in 120-format at least. When I ordered some, 2 momths ago, the guy told me Ilford is a mess at the moment and they dunno when they will get new stock of Delta3200. A month later I got the rolls. Ten of them, brand new (not some old stock).

Dunno about 135.

I don't think so. There's plenty of it at my local stores and they keep getting more. In the last Ilford press release I read, they said they were maintaining their entire line, even bringing back glass plates!

Flat lie, from someone who was too lazy to stock it and thought you were too stupid to check. Put the store on probation for 6 months; consider buying elsewhere. My wife spoke to the Sales Director of Ilford this morning (he called us to give us the news about Agfa) and this is nonsense. As he said, "We aren't gloating about Agfa. I've been there, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Let's hope they survive."

Ilford just got out of receivership and the word is that the current product line should be sustainable. Don't know what I'd do without XP2.

On a side note: I just finished your book Medium and Large Format Photography and must tell you how helpful it was to me in choosing a camera. I've decided to go the roll film route and purchase a Minolta Autocord.
