Hey guys and girls,
Just a quick note from the road to say that Prague is an amazing city (holiday snapshooters paradise 😀 ), and also has a number of photography exhibitions on right now.
I visited "The Best of Jan Saudek" at Staromestske namesti 15 (right on the main square, in front of the Tyn chruch). 😎 It was an excellent, strange, exciting, and fun exhibit, consisting mostly of hand-coloured prints. It was a very well assembled collection, in a somewhat cosy gallery on the first floor. Entrance was 150Kc (80Kc for students/seniors), and well worth it. The exhibition book is of excellent quality, and available for sale in the city for about 400Kc. For all you street shooters, there was one street shot in the collection.
My girlfriend visited "Still life in photography 1840-1985, Siegert collection" at Staromestské námeski 13. She didn't exactly give me a glowing review of it, but I think I haven't made enough of a photographer out of her yet! Entrance is 90Kc (50Kc for students/seniors, 5Kc for art students).
There is also the "Czech Press Photo - 11th Annual" at Staromestské námeski 1. I looked briefly through the window, and it seemed to be your standard collection of war, political, and other photographs, all of high quality. No idea what the entrance fee was.

There were more photo galleries in town, as well. There's no way I could possibly visit them all, or even list them. I strongly suggest that you stop by, and enjoy the town a little.
Enjoy!
