For the Weekend
Today I picked up a used Billingham camera bag, it is the large model, the one that retails for 404 bucks at b and h. It is used, but far from abused. It has a few small scuffs and stains here and there on the canvas, and the leather shows signs of use, but not serious wear. It has the previous owner's name written on it, but it is inside the main flap up near the seam, and isn't particularly huge. It could easily be blacked out. It fits my current dslr gear, and it is a beautiful bag, both in its construction and aesthetics, but it is quite slow to get in and out of, with the flap and the zippers and the wrestling match that is getting a full size dslr with grip and long lens out of the stiff material. I am trying to figure out a rough idea of what it would be worth, as I may see about selling it off to buy a new Domke F2. It is a bit late for me to be snapping any shots of it, but I certainly can tomorrow if my description isn't good enough. I have no idea how well Billinghams retain value, but they are bound to be more valuable than the quite low price I paid for it at a country flea market today (and yes, it is genuine, it has the green Billingham tag in it).
