Did your grandpa pass this way?

Got a new statue in the town center - If you read the inscription, I reckon quite a few of your grandparents will have passed this way!. This was the port-from Europe, then it was cross country by train to Liverpool - for the last leg to New York! 🙂

Dave, one of my relatives took this road in 1914 or so. No one really knows the details as he travelled alone. We haven't heard of him since.
 
Who knows? My ancestors from Scotland came here sometime after 1850, and may have passed through there.

The ones from the continent arrived in various stages. I do know that most of the ones from Switzerland, Germany and Poland all came through Ellis Island.

(Note to self, Ellis island is about two hours away,,,)
