Recently I've been toying with the idea of carrying extra digital body in my G1/G2 system bag. It would be more for "note taking" on my hiking/ photo trips, than any serious stuff. I know some people use the G lenses with an 4/3 Micro adapter on specific digital bodies. i'd like to hear from somebody who does that. What are the issues with the set-up? Any problems focusing? At infinity? Can one use any G lens, or just some? Which digital body one recommends? Which adapter? Does it have to be 4/3 sensor only? (I hate the ratio, it's too square for me)

Thanks. After reading the various threads I think I'll wait till somebody comes with a digital back for G2. In my fantasy it will be 3/8 inch thick, full frame, and about 15 MP should be enough. Foveon? (Come on, don't waste the good technology on Sigma).

I hope your joking, there will never be a digital back for the G system.

Want to use the lenses at their full potential for quality and shoot full frame? Buy a G body and a roll of film. It's very easy and cheaper than your digital alternative.

Somebody actually did manage to stick the guts of a DP1 onto a Contax G camera a few years back. It doesn't seem to be online anymore...I remember there were sample photos...the actual frankencamera was lashed together with rubber bands.
