I think its fair to say that it won't directly resemble any film Nikon. However, it certainly appears to be different than its DSLR designs have been.
We want our cameras smaller, lighter, more versatile and cheaper. At least as sharp if not sharper.
I think this camera is starting to remind me more of an F4s rather than FM2 or F3...
You have to take care of what "We" means.
"We" is actually a highly fragmented population of users who want extremely different (niche) cameras.
Nikon, and everyone else, is looking for the next big niche.
My D700 isn't there any longer... 😱It's been a very, very long time since I've been to the Nikon website, and look, the D3s is still on there! My D3 isn't *that* obsolete, yet!
OH GREAT RUMOR GOD: Please let this one be true!!
"it's in my hands again..."
get a girlfriend , buddy 🙂
As an owner of more Nikkor Ai lenses than anything else, 24mm through 200mm, I find this pretty exciting!
According to rumors, this will be an AF camera. Sadly.
What's wrong with a digital FM2? Lol 🙂+1. I have been wanting a digital Nikon FE2, or F3, or FM3 for quite some time. I like my D700 and D300, but would really like the small size and handling, in digital form, of my smaller Nikons. If anyone can do it, Nikon can!
According to rumors, this will be an AF camera. Sadly.
Because AF on an SLR still means bulky electronics, many buttons everywhere for the multiple AF modes, a switch between AF and MF, a joystick for adjusting the AF collimators, a focusing screen which has to be AF-friendly (can't be a classic Fresnel screen which is the best thing for manual focusing), and pesky customizable Fn buttons/menus to help decide whether you want to AF-lock or AE-lock when you half-depress the shutter release.your upset because it's a AF camera??? why??
I'm just glad that the video does not show the guy holding the camera at arms length 😀
