I have a Canon 50mm f/0.95 TV "Dream lens" now, but It's too heavy and bulky for me. I'm thinking to replace it with the canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM one. The little brother is bokehlicious enough for me I think and overall it's better in sharpness. What is your opinion?

I am not 100% sure, that's why I asked. I haven't tried any 1.4, just relied on the pictures I saw.

What is it you are trying to achieve with the camera/lens combo? If it's a general purpose setup, then yes, the 50/1.4, or even the 50/1.8, would be perfectly adequate and certainly smaller and lighter.

I had one and regrettably sold it as I already had a Summicron and did not really need the extra speed of the Canon. I needed the money to buy an M8 and that was my main motive. But I still regret selling it as it was a lovely lens. It is one of Canons lenses that renders in a fairly modern way and to my way of thinking is an excellent lens optically. The Canon f0.95 is a specialist lens that is fun to own for special purposes but I think you will get much more use from the f1.4. On the other hand you could also go for the f1.8 which is also an excellent lens. One thing to bear in mind is that both the f1.4 and f 1.8 render accurately but without much overt character by comparison with the f0.95. This is sometimes a negative when you want character in your shot.

I enjoy my 50/1.4. It's got more contrast, looks more modern and suppresses flare better than my 50/1.2. So yes, it's a better general purpose lens. The 1.2 gets described as the .95's little brother in terms of images rendered.
Eventually 50/.95 prices will come down (I hope??) and I'll be able to complete the set as I've already got the 1.2, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8 and the rest are pretty easy to find.

I like this 1.4/50 LTM very much for it's lightness and good result.
