Disappearing frame lines?

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my framelines disappear in the OVF when I turn the camera for a vertical shot. Seems to happen mostly in bright daylight, but only in vertical position. Anyone else seeing this?

I don't have the X100 anymore so I'm just guessing, but were you wearing sunglasses with polarizer?

not me, but i hardly ever turn the camera.

Holy crap, I believe I was! I'll experiment in the morning....

In bright sunlight, if your eye isn't pressed against the VF's sensor, it will not show the framelines because it thinks its still in LCD mode. Even worse if you wear glasses. You have to press your eye hard against the VF so the sensor activates.
