yesterday i woke up frisky, work the last thing i wanted to do. the voigtlander prominent winking at me from the corner shelf. so i did what i had to do- called off and spent the day roaming around town taking wonderful picture after wonderful picture. it felt like the prom and i were one. even the cold day and afternoon showers couldn't slow me down- i was on fire!🙂

dropped the rolls off for developing in the late afternoon and looked forward to an evening of pinot noir and basking in the glow of my ever creative eye.

the result- one lousy shot after another. the pictures in my mind may be on film somewhere, just not the rolls i burned through yesterday.

some days are like that i guess. at least i wasn't at work.... 🙄

Yeah, I know how that feels. Mostly the shots that I think are going to be real good have problems ranging from technical issues to composition to wrong timing. These pictures rarely ever are as good as they are in my imagination.

Still, it pays to put them away for a couple of days, until the mental picture of what should be there has faded, and then look at them afresh. I often find undiscovered gems, mostly of those images that didn't register so vividly in my mind..

did you get any good lens cap shots? That always makes my day...

fortunately, no. only because i don't have a lens cap. 🙂

i will take a look at the results after a few days with fresh eyes. maybe i can salvage a keeper.....
