Don't call me Ron
A few years back I went back to film. I wanted to achieve the look of classic b/w concert photgraphy. What inspired me were smoky pictures of black jazz musicians I seemed to register in every second 'alternative' music store.
Today I was feeling very bored (a week at home with the flu does that to you) so I Googled something like 'b/w jazz musicians photography'. Then the epiphany happened. This was what I had subconsciously been looking for! To cut a long story short, I ordered his book
One thing though. I read he used a Speed Graphic. With the limitations of the films of the day he must have used flash of some sort right? How did that work in those days?
