I have this Beseler Slide King that I bought off Ebay. It came with a metal box. Originally from the University of New Mexico I think. Its for projecting in large auditoriums at huge dimensions. It has a 12 inch lens on it and I think they go upt to 18" Anyway. Since my house is very modest I only need a 6.5 inch lens which I believe to be the smallest one they made.

When I project with the big lens the image is too small on my screen because Im only about 12 feet away. So I need the smaller lens.

My question is this. Will I need a different condenser too or just a different lens? The bulb is a 750watt. Ive done tests with negatives because I have no positive filmstrips. Mounted slides did not perform well.

For a carrier I cut two pieces of glass approx 2.5 x 12" and taped the bottom with metal tape. Then i dropped the negative strips in just to get a feel for what it would be like. Slide the glass carrier in and project.

My goal is to be able to show positives on the main wall in the living room. Home depot has special screen paint. Id like to give it a try. 8 feet x 8 feet would be great. even 6x6 feet would be nice.

If I can perfect this, I could make carriers and masks for 35mm 6 frame filmstrips too.

Is anybody here interested in projecting Medium Format?

The picture is an ebay picture of one thats for sale so you can get an idea. I dont have any pics of mine at the moment.
