Dear all,

I would like to consult the collective wisdom of the rangefinder forum.

I have been looking for an eyepiece magnifier for my Zeiss Ikon which has a 19mm diameter (same as Nikon FM series + Bessa) with little success.

The Nikon DG-2 to simply too big and clumsy.
The MS-MAG x1.3N would have been perfect but has unfortunately been discontinued (please PM me if you know where to get them !!).
The Leica eyepiece magnifiers are too small
The Nikon DK-17M is too big (22mm diameter)

I am contemplating sticking a DK-17M to a 19mm plain eyepiece viewfinder.
No doubt my Physics teacher must be weeping in shame - but I have no idea whether that will actually work.

I would be grateful for your opinion.

AJ

if you find a way how to adapt dk-17m please let me know - the best would be to have adapter from 19 to 22mm thread

optically it works - i tried to look through dk-17m against naked ikon body and it was ok - no 28 framelines of course and shutter speeds even harder to see but view was nice
