DIY rf adjustment on Hexar RF, additional information

I just realigned my old RF Saturday, which was misaligned in both dimensions, with much back and forth screw setting. The horizontal adjustment screw is very hard to twist, and on my camera the brass ring for vertical adjustment is very stiff too. Finally, after an hour of fiddling I got the images perfectly adjusted.

I was using Tony Kwan's old DIY directions, and did not know about the third adjustment for the roller, but I did not need to adjust that seemingly. There is a lot of great information in that thread. Thanks, awilder and Issy.

I'm glad to resurrect the body. It sure is handy to have a high speed shutter sometimes.

Yeah, that that extra adjustment for close focus allowed me to exactly zero in on exact focus all the way down to 0.7 m for my Summicron yet still gives perfect infinity focus as well. Once these are done, everything in between is also dead on. Overall easier to get at than a Leica M or Minolta CLE because of the simplicity of top cover removal and no special tools like the one now used by Leica for vertical rf adjustment.
