GX7, Sigma 60/2.8

I revisited this location to photograph it with my GX7 and 12-35/2.8. The first photo was taken with the Bessa R3A, CV 21/4, Ilford XP2

And here with the GX/12-35/2.8

Both photos taken from the same spot ( give or take a couple of feet). The tone of the XP2 photo is how it came out of the scanner. The GX7, 12-35/2.8 photo was taken at a focal length of 14mm so the FOV is slightly smaller than that of the CV21/4. Except for tone, both were processed in PS (different versions of course).

I decided one is enough for me. I did buy one and the Panasonic 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 for my wife as a Xmas gift. I am very happy with both my GH3 and GX7.

How is that lens? How does it compare to the f/2.8 version - I notice it's about 1/3 the weight, how does it perform image-wise?

The lens is compact and seems to be well built. I have not had a chance to use it yet. I will post some images later.

Some shots from the GX7 w/ 20f1.7, last couple of days. B&W conversion done with Silver FX Pro2. This is in front of the Sony Store last Sunday. Used the electronic shutter and the flip up LCD to compose the shot.

I left the house for the first time in about a week after a nasty bout with norovirus (bazooka disease). While I was applying for a docent position with a local Aircraft museum I had the opportunity to observe an engine start on their DC-3. It was wonderful.
