I'm thinking about getting a Bessa R4M or R3M. I never had a Bessa before. Will all my LTM lenses work with an LTM adapter on the Bessa? Does it matter what adapter you use? As I understand the framelines on the Bessas are switched manually and are not triggered by adapter like on the Leica Ms.

Thanks!

They will all work, and as the framelines are set manually- you can use any of the adapters with it.

.. Does it matter what adapter you use? ..
Yes and no.. In principle it doesn't matter. In practice, you'll find that adapters from reputable brands (Leica, Voigtlander) are better made with tighter manufacturing tolerances. Very cheap off-brand adapters may not have the correct thickness, and may keep you from focusing to infinity or keep you from scale focusing correctly.

Amen to that. Why would you spend hundreds of dollars on the camera body and then screw things up by trying to save $30 on an adaptor? Doesn't make sense to me. I've got Voigtlander adaptors on each of my LTM lenses.
