Leica M9, purchased early 2010
Leica M7, purchased second half of 2010
Elmarit 28
Summicron 50
Summarit 75 f2.5

I don't use the M7 anywhere near as much as I could, but love it when I do. The M9 gets used a lot, at least once a week, more if I'm going out or have some interesting things to shoot at work.

I toyed around with a Zorki to see if I could agree with the way a Barnack body worked. There was a IIIc in the local antique mall that had sat there for months, and when I went to get it, too late. I do however have a scratched up Elmar 4/90, and a VIOOH I had to glue back together. So maybe one day I'll come across another III with some cash in my pocket to spend.

Since that post back in March of 2015 I've managed to get some Leica clones made by Canon and Nicca. The Nicca (III-S) was more of a copy than the Canon (P), but they still only slightly dampened my search for the real thing.

I did get an M4-P a while back, and really enjoy it, but I got tired of having to mount my LTM lenses onto adapters so I could use them. Yesterday I finally fulfilled a plan I made long ago to celebrate my official retirement, and that was to get a IIIf made the same year I was born (1953). And it's coming from a shop in my home state of Indiana!

It has a nice engraving of a name on the bottom plate, and I did a little sleuthing on Google. If it's who I think, he used to live close to Gary, IN, then moved to Sarasota, FL. No mention in the obituaries about him being into photography, though it might not have been something he did a lot of, just some snaps here and there. So it might be I still have no idea who the person is that used to own the camera, but I hope to make him proud of what I produce with it.

PF, congrats on the M4-P!

My M2 button rewind came used from a retail shop in Seattle in 1967, $150, plus a new v.1 35mm Summicron for $163.50... I haven't shot the M2 for a while, but I used the 35 Summicron on my M-D 262 on a recent vacation trip.
I also have a M240 and a Leica Q, and two M8 one black and one chrome.

I think that makes six small-frame Leicas, then there's my Leica S2 dSLR...

In order of acquisition:

M3 DS ST PV
M3 SS ST PV

M6
M6 TTL

Leicaflex SL (two)
Leica R8

Leica III (1934)
Leica IIIf RD ST

My MP240 is one and half years old. My 1958 M2 has been in my possession for four or five years. I would swap it to a friend and use an M5 for awhile. As good as the M5 is, the M2 is my favorite.

Now, I need to find one with the quick load system as the spool loading of the M2 is the only feature of the camera I don't like.

I Model A converted to IC
IIIa Model G

IIIf (black painted)

M2 (Shintaro black painted)

M4 (Shintaro black painted)

Leicaflex SL (black paint)
Leicaflex SL2 (black chrome)

In order of acquisition: Digilux 1, M7, M8, C, CL. Use CL most of time now due to 82
year old eyes but love all. Never had trouble with any. Original Digilux still works. So
much for all concern about electronic longevity.

PF, congrats on the IIIf! What ltm lenses do you have for it?

Unfortunately the original poll is closed. I bought a user IIIc quite a few years ago, and then a IIIf. More recently a user CL with inoperative meter. I use all of them regularly.

It's hard not to get carried away, as they are such fine machines. I hope those that post "lists" of Leica gear are also spending money on photographic adventures and the like.
