Of course I know about the Pass-the-camera project! I was the first to get the camera handed over to me by Pherdinand himself! 🙂

Now beware, there might be a bit of confusion. You've got the pass the camera project which only a portion of the RFF members participate in, and then there's the

Pass the camera obsession, which is where all RFF members are frantically buying and selling cameras from and to each other.. 😀

peter, that's hilarious😀

Kiu - at least 60 persons shouold know about it.

At least 60 sets of fingerprints on a little Canonette.

Kiu, send another camera out across the lands, I am sure the next trip will take a camera on a voyage which will last longer than a ride to Mars.

Yes, I know about it. No, I don't know anything about how to go about it.

I hear the initiation hazing calls for the resale of one of Joe's Canon lenses 😉

Pherdi initiated and organized the Pass the Camera Project over a year ago. The idea may have originated over at Pnet in the Classic Camera Forum, or here, who remembers? Simple thought, get a list of names and addresses, ship a camera around the world, each person shooting one roll of film and posting their results for all to see and sending the camera to the next participant.

Due to the scope of the project no new names are being added to the list. Success, and the reward for a good idea, will be the Canonet sitting back in Pherdi's possession with lots of stories to tell. This by no means implies that the project can't be repeated, it just takes a leader, a camera and postage to the first person to get it going.

actually, it was initiated by william blanchard, a rff member, not me. I just picked up the idea.

The Hal action at Photo.net is a similar project, although less organized - the camera there has no planned travel route, whenever sbody's interested he/she can sign up for getting the camera next. It started about the same time as our Canonet. Or a bit later, maybe.

I know about it and I'd like to partecipate but I became a RFF member too late.
I hope ther'll be another similar project in the near future. Does someone have any idea?
Bye
Nico

I remember being worried this time last year that I wouldn't get it by last Christmas! LOL.. now I'm pretty sure I won't even get it by THIS Christmas
