Do you print post cards for your loved ones?

For those of you who don't print post cards for your loved ones, I'd highly recommend it. It's a fun way to keep in touch and not expensive at all.

I use a Canon Selphy 910 Dye Sub printer ($85.00) that really has nice quality, and paper is about 25 cents each.

Sent (and received) lots of photos as postcards over the years and still send one once in a while.
Never had the special postcard paper, though.
Great way to share pictures...sort of old school now I guess.

I don't generally print postcards, it's too easy to have those printed en masse at a printer for nearly nothing. I do print fine-art grade greeting cards (A2 envelope sized fold-over on cotton rag paper) for my personal use, and have done custom sets of them for clients too.

They're lovely things to send to people and are how I've produced holiday cards for the past decade as well. Some of the folks who have received them have told me they have all the ones I've sent framed and hanging ... 🙂

I mount my prints on a thicker paper, usually handwritten notes,
or printed "Polaroid" SX-70 format,using PC in white areas.
Seen my cards years later on fridges, inside cabinets, on shelves and framed.
I am very proud of those..sometimes more than my published work..

I use the same photo paper like Ned...I have printed with them, sent them to the participants in one of the RFF Postcard Projects...
Have not sent them to family...

I travel a lot and try to send postcards to friends & family from wherever I go. I usually try to buy locally but if I think I'm going to have problems I'll pack a little canon selphy printer like the one mentioned. People really enjoy getting something physically from wherever you are - and the stamps are always interesting! Highly recommended for any traveler. Biggest problem can be finding a postage and a mailbox in some places - but often a hotel can help you out.
