Do you use a soft release button on your M? If so which?

TA Softie here too, they are great. As another poster mentioned, after using one for a while, you will notice the difference of shooting without one.

I also had retention problems with mine, but just wrapped a small piece of plumber's tape around the threads to solve it. Tom's suggestion of nail polish sounds like a good one.

the problem lies in that fine, tapered thread! - difficult to make well - on a mass-produced item!.
