Does a IIIG need to be modified to fit a Leicavit

Out of interest does a Leica IIIg need to be adapter so that a Leicavit fits or do all IIIG accept leicavit trigger winds, any advice and help greatfully accepted

A IIIg should accept a Leicavit without any problems. Not a M-Leicavit, of course.

IIIG accepts the same Leicavit as IIIC and IIIF. The type number is SYOOM.

But you may need to get the Leicavit adjusted to aligned with the IIIG's advance action, otherwise you may need two stroke to complete the shutter cock.

I use the SYOOM on my IIIF, IIF, and IIIG. It works fine on all of them. Only one stroke is needed.
