The best camera is one that still works!
Doing 24 exposures actually makes a bit of sense if you have an Epson 700 scanner. The trays fit 24 exposures (4x6neg strips) so you can batch scan 1 roll per tray and not have to run a half loaded tray to finish scanning the roll.
Precisely ... I generally bulk load all my film to 24 exposures ... being an Epson user also!

Someone should set up some sort of system where you pay $5 for a 36 exp roll of bulk loaded hp5+, then mail back the cassettes

I don't use reloadables ... being the tight arse I am (read poor) I scab discarded cassettes from the local kodak one hour and reload those!

I've tried that before... Maybe it's just my ham fistedness but I can't seem to get the tops back on since they seem to be bent or somethingI don't use reloadables ... being the tight arse I am (read poor) I scab discarded cassettes from the local kodak one hour and reload those!![]()

You don't actually open the cassette ... you just tape the fresh film to the piece that's still protruding out through the light trap, left from the c41 machine. There's usually a centimetre or so left sticking out.
I use them once like this then toss them.

I need everyone who has film ordered to PM me their address please!
No rush by sunday evening will be fine ... and Chris, I think Hung is going to receive your film and pass it on to save on postage.
I don't know exactly how much everyone owes yet until I box up the orders and calculate postage ... I'll probably do that sunday night and PM my details to you.
af ... I guess the easiest way to get your film to you is for us to meet in Brisbane during the week!

Hi Keith - that's fine, and I'll probably see Hung next weekend at the local collectors club "Photo Fiesta" swap meet.

Sounds good Chris.
When I picked the box up this afternoon I couldn't believe how big it was ... two separate boxes inside a larger box and all surrounded by packing peanuts. It would have survived a drop from a five story building!
I don't think I've ever seen this much 35mm film in one lump in my life ... awsome!

No worries Michael ... I'll do it in the morning and sit my M2 on top. Nice combination actually ... an M2 with 400 rolls of HP5!
I like strange requests.
