Does anyone here shoot a Kodak Medallist?

Yes, thanks for the correction & reminder. Earlier Ektars on the Medalist I & Ektra were coated only on internal elements & were soft (perhaps more like that used by Leica during that time period), whereas the Lumenizing process was applied to all lens surfaces & was harder, more like the coatings developed by Carl Zeiss & Cook Optics. Judging from a couple 50/1.9 Ektars for my Ektra, 1 w/the older coating, & the other Lumenized, there is a visible difference in flare reduction.

The Medalist I lens is also coated (I can see it in my own specimen), but with an earlier process than "Lumenisation". The information quoted by Kuzano in a previous thread seems to imply that the Lumenisation is perhaps more durable (as well as optically superior). Anyway,I've no complaints about the performance of my Medalist I version :).
