Does anyone miss the Optics section?

Does anyone miss the optics section? I am interested in optics and could check them all out at one time. I like optics from Leica M, Leica Screwmount, Canon, Nikon, Zeiss, Voigtlander, FSU, and the rest. I have to parse through 7 sections to find the Optics posts now. I'm not complaining, but curious about what others think? 🙂

Same here. I am not sure why the section was brought down in the first place.

I believe the idea of closing the optics section was to aid in reducing the total number of forums. If it can not stand alone as a Forum - maybe it could be grouped into a Technical section with something else? :angel:

As it stood the optics section, though we all looked at it, received relatively few posts. Many of the threads that were in there were originally posted in other sections and moved by Joe to the optics section as they pertained to lenses. The threads were not deleted, they were just moved to the most appropriate equipment section. All of the information that was there still exists, you just have to search for it differently.

The optics section was a perfectly placed section but it was not visited by many people. I don't mind visiting a variety of section in RFF to find something that interests me. In fact, after visiting the same section repeatedly, I perefr to "surf" the RFF for other ideas and opinions.
