Does hot weather keep you away from shooting?

I used to do a lot of landscape photography and was out before sunrise sometimes with below 0 F temperature. It was hardest to keep my hands warm and still be able to operate the camera. Changing film was hell especially if there was some wind. If it's over 90F it's a little harder if I have to be in the sun. I usually still shoot but spend less time out doing it before trying to get into some air conditoning someplace.

Don`t like the heat so it`s a good job that I live on the west coast of Lancashire where it`s been raining on and off all day.
Warm and humid though somewhere in the 20`s 🙂

Yes, absolutely. The heat also stifles most of my other outdoor activities. (Why can't we live on a planet with a constant temperature of 70F?)

It's been in the mid-to high nineties and above in this part of Carolina for a month or so. Nothing unusual, just summer. However, I am not a fan.

As someone mentioned, too, hot weather is usually accompanied with very harsh sunlight.

It doesn't get hot enough here to to bother me (Chch, New Zealand), although shooting in the rain is always fun 🙂

I am working in phoenix for 6 months, and its been about 110F+ here every day for over 2 months. The harsh light, and non existent downtown district keep me from shooting more than the weather.

I do not let hear, high humidity, or harsh light get in the way of my shooting. I have always lived in Central Florida and have just learned to make the best of it.

Yesterday, my local camera repair guru fixed the film door on a ZI body that no longer popped open. The cause was a bit of corrosion on the door seal which he explained was caused by sweat dripping down my arm, hand and thumb into the back seal from me carrying the body by the grip for hours on end during the summer. He said it would probably need a tiny bit of service every year or so and encouraged me not to change my habits.

He also helped me patch up a leaking crack in a Paterson 5 reel tank that I dropped in the sink while agitating one handed as I was using 2 of the five reel tanks at once.

When he was done, he asked me to give him either $5 or $10 in spite of the fact that he stopped the repair in process to take care of me. He says he always give immediate turnaround and special discounts to those of us that need repairs from actually using our gear to make photos when others would not.

Its about 30degrees all year round with 90% humidity due to the close-ness to the equator & very harsh sunlight

Its a sweaty, sticky situation to shoot most of the time 🙁

I remember my first exit from Changi Airport. Like having a bucket of warm water thown at you !.

i loved my last vacation to Singapore / Malaysia. the humidty, i live for it - ha. it's winter here, i hate it! can't wait for summer again; dripping in sweat, sun bearing down on me and a big smile on my face 🙂

Hello, I was living in Chiapas, Mexico many years ago, in Tuxtla Gutierrez city is very common 33-38Cº and from it we can drive a hour from 550 meters altitude to 2120 meters arriving to San Cristobal de las Casas, from 33-38º to 14-8º Celsius, and my cameras didn't fail and film either. I used Alfa 200 B&W.
I think weather could stop your mood, but I think film can resist.

I stayed a month in Brighton, UK, in May, not the best spring weather but it was good to be able to walk the entire day around without breaking a sweat

Hot weather, cold weather... I still go out. I'm not the type to wait for the best lighting or conditions... I just go photograph when I feel like it... which has been a lot lately.
