when I first read th ethread I thought - "Raid (the spray) and Raid (the camera fellow) are most likely pronounced differently.
I also thought "Raid (the camera fellow) take those nicely saturated color photos I like. Surely Jorge doesnt want Raid (the camera fellow) to supply him with troll poisons in aerosol form. Heavens no.

My name is pronounced differently from the English word "Raid".
It is more like Ra-ed. When we lived in Germany, they pronounced my name phonetically, and it comes out right. At that time, my name was written as RAID, and this is what stayed with me.
