Does this count as portraiture?

The more I think about it
Portraits are ALL about capturing the Face
Though some parts of the body can be Included

You have done just that...😉

Thank you Helen. I think you put it perfectly.

full disclosure : I shot these 30 years ago, In the Zoo at Antwerp (I spent the first two years of my life there, but that is another story), and I wasn't standing, but sitting on my haunches, as close as possible to the glass, trying to create a connection, and it took hours and days - schooldays, so there would be less kids.

The Orang Utan was a nice guy. I think he liked me. (Orang means man, by the way. In indonesia, Orang Utan is Man of the Woods, an Orang Pendek is a small man)
The Chimps were a little psycho. A community composed of survivors of the slave trade, they'd been used (and abused) to take pictures with tourists around the mediterranian.
they were nice to each other though, I've got a lovely sequence of one getting some crud out of an others eye, really taking his time.
Photographs truly are a key to memories, I'd forgotten about these guys since donkey's years.

I think it's Clyde in the truck with Clint. I used to see Clint out on the town at Dan Tana's restaurant, next to the Troubadour folk/rock club. Clyde was more of a homebody. I heard he did like the Nairobi Trio, though.
