Canon LTM does this sound crazy?

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Joe, one question, have you identified the 'generation' of each one of you Ps ? I mean, subtle differences in ISO dials, screw number/position, engravings lettering, etc ?

If I were you, I'd make a set of metal grips and soft releases in color, you now have silver and black, but then there's red, green, yellow, etc :D

And btw, if your next movement leaves you with an 'orphan' 28/3.5, let me know ;)

Help quick!!!!!! Joe has Urinarius Collectivitus or commonly known as the desire to collects others "P"

ya know, that by encouraging him (g'man) that eventually he will p in a post for all of you?!

anyone want to talk trade?

joe

Joe, hold onto the two knob winders that you have. Three of a kind should be enough for anyone. Those knob wind Canons are classics, and you owe itself to keep them. They are back to the roots.

Plus, if I can pick up a VI-T on a BIN for $140, there will be more Canon P's along at good prices. You are selling short getting rid of two bodies and a lens for one Canon P.

ah, you guys are likely right.

it's a sickness, always looking for a change.
and i do really like the bottom feeders...

maybe if i put the 28 on one of the p's...carry the 1.9 on the iv sb...aaaagggghhhhh...

i know...i'll hold on to this stuff till i can trade it for a hexar af!!

anyone interested???

I looked up the prices in McBroom's guide, 6th edition.

The "P" in ex condition goes for $340. The III and IVSB go for about $300 each, and the F1.9 goes for $100. The "P" is obviously much more convenient to use, but it was a high-volume camera. The Canon III and IVSB were made in far fewer numbers. And as I have found with my IIf, they are quite nice to use.

I could never stick to one camera. Keeps the mind "Nimble", switching between them. And they all have their own personality and quirks. Makes it much more fun.

Nice avatar, Joe.

I gotta say... the Hexar AF is one sweeeeet camera, though. But it would be a "black sheep" in your family.
