Double Accessory Shoe

Hard to find the voigtlander double accessory shoe - I've been looking for one.

B&H has something called the "Barber Tech 1 to 3 accessory shoe adapter" that gives you not two, but three shoes. You may find that you can fit the VC meter and 12 mm finder on this if you use the two end shoes on this adapter.

Good luck!

Gary

I thought the foot on the VC meter is able to be re-positioned on the meter? So you could move it more to one side or the other of the shoe and maybe get enough room to mount both the meter and the 12mm VF?
And, Chiif Camera has the B and C size double shoes. www.chiifcameras.com
Currently 65 SGD (Singapore Dollars) as I type this.

Cameraquest has these double shoes; mine has a distance between their edges of about 11mm, so there is not much room for two accessories not to bump!

I use mine to get my nose free of the viewfinder on the Contax G2 for the 21 mm external finder.

Does anyone remember what the double accessory shoes sold for? They're no longer available and I'm trying to figure out a reasonable price.

Thanks,

Cameraquest has these double shoes.
Not as of about a month ago; I emailed Stephen and asked, he said,"Sold out. Sorry."

As of that same month ago, Chiif Cameras has them. 65 SGD ( about 42.84 USD as of today ) each for either the "B" or "C" models.

Make no mistake-this is an elusive item that has been out of production for some time. I have looked for this item for two years, and have talked with Tom A. about having him make some. Finally got one last week from another RFFer for $70 and I am delighted because last year I was beat out twice on eBay, each time they went for $150. $20 on eBay? That was a deal. Now that my search has ended, it will sit in my Leica IIIf.

Rethinking my listing price for my C model double accessory shoe.... 😀

I made my own from a piece of aluminum bar stock. I got the clips to hold the light meter from a couple those gadgets which allow you to mount a flash on a tripod. I think that I got the foot from an old flash unit. If you look on the B&H site under Flash Shoe Mounts you will see some bits that you can use. I doubt if I spent more than $15 on all of the parts.

I have a type A (the lowest type, 4mm height) that I don't need. Fits Leicas and Bessas well. Shoot me a PM with a reasonable offer if you want it.

Roland.
