I understand there are two versions of the DR, the older one with a single distance scale in either meters or feet and the later one with dual distance scales. The focus rings are different too. I believe there are also two versions of the close-up goggles that are not fully compatible. My question: I have a goggles for a two-scales DR, does it fit the one scale DR lens too?

Thanks! Found it. I understand the older version goggles fit the newer version lens, but not vice versa.waileong said:Answer's at Cameraquest.

IIRC, the first version was made for a couple of years only while the second one was made for about 10 years. Don't know the exact number of lenses manufactured in each period but this should give you a hint. I thought I read this at Stephen's site but I can't seem to find it. :bang:HuubL said:Thanks! I got a first version (feet markings only) DR without eyes that I bought from Youxin Ye a year ago and had cleaned by DAG. Total cost, including shipping to Norway, was $330. Unfortunately I haven't used it as much as I wanted to.
