I am considering which film to use for DR5 processing...and wondered if anyone can share their experiences.

I am using 120 film in a Fuji 6X7 RF, Yashicamat 124G and a maybe my recently CLA'd Perkeo II.

Mostly landscape...and I will mostly choose Process-2.

Thinkin' of SFX, Scala and TriX. I also have one roll of Verichrome Pan left and might use that.

Would like to hear from anyone that has sent to DR5.

Thanks kindly,

DR5 does very nice work in my experience. I've shot 35mm Plus-X, which I used for stock images years ago, and had fantastic results shooting as they directed. Then some 120 HP5+ that I used for making negative prints. Again, beautifully done. Excellent tonal range with nice rich black tones and highlight detail galore. I preferred the Plus-X for color- a very rich brown, not unlike Portrigia in Poly Toner. Tighter grain in both films than standard negative development gives.

Good information...as you know, I've recently found some PlusX 120 in the back of the freezer.

DR5 did not recommend the old emulsion. This is why I needed to know if I had the newer formulation...which they do recommend.

I think I will try the PlusX and maybe the Scala, as well.

Years ago, I sent him some T-Max ISO 100. He developed it into slides, but they looked as if they had been slightly overexposed. In any event, the two times I sent him stuff, the work was quickly done and shipped back to me.

BTW, I used 35mm film. My slides were not numbered. Other than that... I was happy with the results.
