Don (DAG) just wrapped up a Canon 50mm f/0.95 conversion for me and was good enough to encode it too. I'll take a couple of test shots upon arrival this week and see how it goes.

Don did the conversion in about five days. Wow!

I know, right?! First Don said 7 to 10 days, and I was surprised at that. I was expecting maybe two to four weeks. And then towards the end of the day on day 5 he sends me a note and says he's all done with the conversion, CLA, and encoding. I pretty much fell out of my chair.

This rangefinder stuff is a disease, isn't it? Thursday can't get here soon enough.

Funny DAG just did one for me in record time as well about a week. Haha I thought I was special
I sold one he did for me a few years ago and regretted it ever since. Will never sell this one

So I got my dream lens today and holy cow, it's big. But the surprising thing is its lightweight, it's not really heavy by any stretch.

Funny thing: couple of owners I've connected with about the lens always leave out the fact that it's almost impossible to remove the lens from the M body because of the diameter. You can't press the release button! A small price to pay... now let me fire a few shots!

You have to use a clean wooden Popsicle stick to remove the lens. Or something similar that won't scratch the release button

and here's my first photo. this thing is definitely different than anything I've shot before...

perfect, thanks. i just happened to have a chopstick laying around and used that, but the popsicle stick is easier to throw in the bag...

Did he forget to fill one of the 6-bit wells with white paint?

BTW, Don just did some work for me too. I expected weeks, it was done in a few days! Waiting for my precious to come home...possibly today.
