Make it stop :bang: - Make it easier/simpler - make it about you, not some faceless post on a forum.
  • Chevy vs. Ford
  • Up vs. Down
  • Left vs. Right
  • Blonde vs. Brunette
  • Wrong vs. Right
  • Black vs. White
  • (-) vs. (+)

Just leave it all behind and know that anything worth doing won't be easy - behind a keyboard or in a darkroom, it's your journey and no one else's.

Peace out

Negative terminal all the way! That's were the electrons flow from. Anyone who prefers the positive terminal is ignorant of basic physics and should be drawn and quartered! Boo! Hiss! Down with the positive-terminal-loving reddies!

but, if we all chilled and there was no controversy to debate, what would become all of us Narcissistic, Machiavellian, psychopathic, and sadistic Internet trolls? Oh, my the world of the Internet would be a dull place. <grin>

Frankly, I gain a great deal of amusement from well-crafted and lively arguments that are carefully calculated to illustrate a point passionately that really doesn't make a hill of beans to anyone.

This vs that is just another facet of rampant consumerism. I agree that too many things have become a competition, with the 'competitor' needing to 'win' or at least be on the winning side (Nikon, no, I mean Canon, no I mean...). Its part of the gradual spiritual death within societies in the grip of 'affluenza'.

What's the antidote? I'm not sure, but creating (in whatever form) for the sake of doing so seems to be a good start because its the antithesis of being defined by what you own.

"The world is divided into two parts. Those who divide things into two parts, and those who don't".

There is always a gradation. Was free Tibet perfect? Clearly, no (ask the Dalai Lama). Is occupied Tibet perfect? Equally clearly not.

What is the best compromise? Because those who promote false dichotomies NEVER want to admit that there might be a middle ground.

Cheers,

R.

I'm sorry people . . .

I'm sorry people . . .

. . . never again will I start a thread under the influence.
I say this as the happy owner/driver of both a Chevy and also a Ford. :)

I had to Google "false dichotomies" as I was unaware of what conditions were involved. The term "Gaslighting" may apply as well.

Anyway, we all know that CCD sensors are superior to CMOS sensors.

What did the proton say to the Grumpy electron? You're so negative! !
