Dust inside the lens?

I was just examining my newly arrived FED-2d and noticed that the inside elements of the lens have little black specs on them. Is this common with Industars? Is there anything I/someone else can do to fix it?
I bought it off Ebay. I was given a pic taken with the camera and there is a small round bright patch in the middle of picture. This doesn't look promising. I will have to run a test roll of film through it to see if it is still there. I took off the lens and ran the shutter with a flash light inside the body. I didn't see any light leaking.

It's fairly common to find debris inside lenses. I wouldn't expect dust specs to cause the problem you have seen on a photograph, more a loss of contrast which may not be noticable. Perhaps the print had some other problem, flare etc, or possibly a pinhole in one of the curtains. Hold the camera up to a strong light without the lens on and check for minute holes in the curtains both in the cocked and uncocked positions.
The glass on Industars is quite easy to remove and clean. You may even combine it with a lube of the focussing thread.

I wouldn't care much about small pieces of dust. All lenses will gather dust with time. And by disassembly of the lens elements you could do more harm.

If there's a bright spot in the picture taken with that camera, then it's almost definitely pinhole in shutter curtains. If it's a small one, it can be fixed with a drop or two of fabric paint. I'm sure one of the shutter curtain repair gurus will respond to this. Fortunately I never needed to repair pinholes in shutter curtains.

Only worry about mosture or fungus either can cause real damage. Be careful with cleaning fluid if any gets inside you need to have it removed.

Dismantling a lens and re-assembling it can damage a lens, optical glass is like 'glass' fragile.

If you have a Leitz lens from pre-'65 it is likely you will need it stripped, cleaned and reassembled, many will need a front surface hard coat replaced.

So yes there is a triving market. The Jap optics seem to be better unless stored badly, like in Florida.
