Dust off your Hasselblads - iPhone Back

I failed to see the difference in iPhone photo vs iPhone through $1000 Hasselblad with CF Zeiss Planar lens, beside some vignetting.

"film is expensive"

*drops $300+ on an iPhone accessory...

Years ago, in the video/filmmaking world, someone did this same thing with creating a mount (Arri PL) for super expensive motion picture camera lenses, and had them focus on a ground glass screen, and then created a mount so that cheap camcorders could be attached and you could videotape the images off the ground glass. I think they even created a spinning shutter so they could videotape at 24 fps. "And it was just like shooting film with an expensive motion picture camera!"

Was a stupid idea back then, seems like a stupid idea right now.

Best,

Actually I was hoping for an adapter I can use to mount my Hasselblad to the back of my D700 so I can photograph its LCD screen on film. That way I can undigitize and analogize my D700 output, since I often prefer film to digital.

Sounds like the birth of a "kickstarter" project to me.

;)

Any chance that this is a hoax?

I doubt it. Kickstarter has some pretty stringent rules, and it looks like they've already achieved their funding requirement. I've participated in five or six Kickstarter efforts, and they've all gone well.

$270 for a special purpose back that I can use to enjoy my Hassy more? Why not? What other purpose is there for my hobby money? :)
