Dust on Sensor ?

The attached picture is a crop from a Leica Monochrom image. This appeared a month ago and is now at the same place on every image. Just a "blower" didn't fix the problem.
Is this some stubborn dust on the sensor, or something else ?
I'd appreciate any insight...

Yep, that's what it looks like to me..

It is dust or some other debris, or it could be oil but the MM is far less prone to oily spots than the M9. Nothing unusual.

Thank you. Thats reassuring. Any easy way to clean that without sending it out to Leica ?

For sticky dust I use an Eyelead which is a sort of magic rubbery stuff on a handle that picks dust from the surface of the sensor and deposits it onto sticky tape. It works very well and is similar to what Leica use at the factory. I then finish the sensor cleaning off with an Arctic Butterfly brush. But this won't work if it is any oily spot and for that you will need some sensor swabs and Visible Dust 'Smear Away' for the oil, and an ordinary solution of cleaner to remove the smears caused by Smear Away (yes, ironic isn't it). It is all a pretty easy process if you follow the instructions and don't put too much liquid onto the swab.
