Observation 1: The guy selling the tickets jokingly told an older gentleman that they don't give over 65 discounts anymore, because everyone would be getting a discount that way. Well, that's broadly true 
Observation 2: I heard many people complain that the show isn't what it used to be. Also true, I guess a lot of older people are giving up the hobby, less youngsters taking up the hobby.
Still, I was there for hours, basically until me and my mate's money ran out
What I bought:
Carl Zeiss Biogon 50mm f4 t* for Hasselblad
Kiev 88 plain prism, also for Hasselblad
1 red filter 52mm
1 yellow filter 52mm
1 adjustable ND filter 52mm
1 linear pol filter 52mm
15 rolls of 2005 expired Fuji Superia 400
5 fresh rolls of Kentmere 400 (Ilford HP5+)
What my friend bought:
A 1960's 24x24 Robot camera
5 rolls of HP5+ 120 size
Two ancient light meters

Hi Ronald, sounds you and your mate had a really good time there. I was there last year and found it still worth while (picking up a lot of Leica stuff from mainly east German and Polish people).

European fair of Photographica (collector's cameras, cinema, precinema, photographs, books about photography etc.) is being held for the 66th time in the Euretco-building, easily to reach by A27 (Antwerp-Amsterdam) then A12 exit Houten) from where the route is signposted with 'EXPOCENTER EURETCO'.

I already missed this 2 times and will probably keep missing it until I get a car. From the directions it doesn't look like a fun trip by OV.

It shouldn't be too difficult to get to Houten by train and I even believe there is a free bus service from the railway station to the Euretco building.
For those who do not know what to expect, it's basically a fleamarket for all things related to photography. The people there are mostly rather older gentlemen, but also young, artsy types have been observed
Don't be put off by the fleamarket moniker. It is true there is tons of junk to be found, but also a lot of treasure waiting to be uncovered. You might find a bargain, but most people know what they are selling and if they are not, the good stuff is quickly scooped up. Needless to say I enjoy the hunt immensly and have bought an awful lot of stuff there.
