E-6 Chemicals. Where to buy cheap ?

Hello!

I am learning and shooting Slides.

But I can't seem to buy the pre-mix chemicals off the shelf in a dry form or concentrated package. The usual suspects are Ultrafine and Freestyle.

Are there other places where I can buy E6 chemicals cheaply ?

Ah - plus $34 shipping to the US. I use the Tetenal liquid kits, fresh, for $75. I order one kit of E-6 and one of C-41 every 6-8 months from Freestyle and mix it in smaller batches.

Pretty economical.

Hey man they recommend fresh chemicals for each run. How do you mix yours up and do you find reusing the liquids gives good results?

i am a hoarder....i have about 100 rolls of superia 800 color film and 20x100feet of ektachrome slides (!) and more in BW. So developing cheaply is important.

btw, i am into roll 283 so far this year on B&W.

I mix in 2.5L batches and use the chemicals for months in sealed containers. I don't have any problems. I usually extend my development a bit near the end of that time. I could probably go longer but I toss them and mix fresh just to be on the safe side.

I have one of the Kodak kits from a few years ago sitting around. I believe it is unopened, but I am not going to use it.
