lately several lenses have gone for more than new. now if it is no longer available new they MIGHT be worth a premium but when they are still available from CameraQuest or PhotoVillage ya gota wonder :eek:

And that is truly a crying shame. I understand that sellers need to be able to meet their bottom line, but when more economically viable options are available but not known it can be unfortunately frustrating for those third-parties in the know.

then it would make sense to not ebay market to the US when the stuff can be had for far less. If selling to EU then it would make more sense, this also may not be the one I am thinking of, that always seems to have the item marked up about four or more times the going rate for similar items

There is a seller on ebay as we speak that is offering Voigtlander screw to M adapters used for $80 each. These are the same ones Stephen is selling new for $55 each

I also saw a Bessa-L a few weeks ago with a stating bid of $450 and a reserve.

Some people must think they have a goldmine.

how does one pry out the red dots so that they can replace them with a black dot?

A knife carefully worked under it will get it loose. It's glued on..

It's metal.

I first place a bit of alcohol around the edge with a Q-tip and let it soak to slightly loosen the glue then carefully worked a knife tip just under the edge and worked it around the diameter until it came loose.

I got mine off using a flat and thin piece of plastic. Sticking it between the "Leica" and the line underneath, I started twisting the sticker carefully in both directions. After some time of careful twisting the amplitude of each twist increases until the sticker will come off. This way one does not risk damaging the finish with a knife or needle, there is no risk of alcohol getting into the rangefinder adjustment and in addition - if you are careful - the red dot will still be in perfect condition, so one could glue it on again.
 
why is it that most of the cameras are advertised "I only put one roll through it before I decided to sell it"? Is that the equal of "Only driven by a little old lady on Sundays?"
