ebay heavystar hoods

Has anyone tried one of the vented heavystar 39mm hoods on a 35mm lens? 35 Ultron, Summicron.... does it vignette?
I purchased one for my 50mm col summicron and wondered the same thing so I tried it on my 35/1.7 Ultron and don't see any vignetting. I ordered another heavystar hood last night for the Ultron.

I have one on my 35mm summicron (39mm). If you look real hard on the contact print with a loupe, there is a little vigennating present, but nothing that would show up on a normal print.

I also have it on a 50f2 Nikkor (40.5mm) and have no problems.

I've got one. It doesn't vignette on the Summicron or the Ultron, but it does block more of the finder than the Leica vented hood that goes with the last version 50/2 and also fits the 35/2 but obviously not the Ultron.

I'd say it's a definite improvement over the Ultron's built in hood, but there are better options for the Summicron, I think. The square hood for that is brilliant.

Eric - still up to your tricks - that's really weird what you've done to my post!

There was more of it as written, about how I don't see vignetting, but it blocks more of the finder than the Leica vented hood sold with the last version 50/2.

I think the square hood (don't know the number) is the best for the summicron, followed by the vented bayonet job.
