I am most of the time very frustrated with their agents' incompetencies in solving issues in live chat, especially ebay.

They often try to get rid of you, transfer you to someone else, like to paypal, without understanding the real issue giving wrong suggestions that can cause you more problems. They seem to not care, they repeat themselves and they dont try to give you a real solution!

They really sometimes make me sick. Those people charge almost <=10% of what you sell (both ebay and paypal). I dont think they give a good support and service to justify the fees they earn over us. They are the same companies but not giving solutions compatible to each other in some situations. They are hiding behind the walls without a real phone support (at least to my understanding for ebay). To reach to the livechat support you have to try so many tricks on their help pages and then you wait at least an hour to connect. Then the agent says "I am going to connect to bla bla specialist to support you better", WTF??

Yeah you would say not, then dont use them. No I would like to use them as the idea of their job is good, connecting many people and giving way to find lots of equipment from all over the world, there is no replacement but they must be obligated to give a good support and quick solutions to clients problems.

Please share your experiences in here....

Idiocracy

Idiocracy

Everything you have described is right on. I have filled out at least 5 seller and buyer surveys that they requested. Never received one reply and nothing has changed for the better in customer service in 8 years.
I believe E Bay like the US government has figured out we don’t have a choice soooo, pretend like they care and we will go away. Watch the movie Idiocracy with Luke Wilson, it will explain it all. Bill

I find eBay and PPal frustrating occasionally, but overall worth the trouble.

I've had abut 4,000 transactions (eBay member spystyle)

eBay is the last place I turn to, to sell anything now, although I still use them occasionally for buying and selling. A few years ago it was the first place I turned to buy or sell almost anything. They were then on the verge of having a monopoly for online sales. eBay became consumed with greed and started abusing their small sellers. They are now rapacious and dishonest. Wall Street suits will never understand the culture of small sellers of collectibles ("the small people"). It's too bad cause they really had a good thing going for everyone at one time.
