If you use ebay, take note: Anytime you see a listing with an image like this in it:
Report the item immediately. I've noticed that a few different accounts are selling the exact same items, and they all have this image inserted into the auction listing.
What happens is an account with good feedback gets hacked, the hacker lists some big buck items (such as Leica lenses) - lures suckers into "buying" the imaginary item off of ebay, and runs off with the money.
Since the transactions takes place off of ebay, ebay will do NOTHING for you if you fall for it. (My stepfather made the mistake of buying a car this way :bang: )
Just a heads up, they've been listing Rolleiflexes, the Nikon SP reissues, and Leica lenses. Usually with a low starting price (under $1) to get attention.
Honestly I doubt most people are gullible to fall for this type of scam, but if you haven't heard of it before - and you don't think it's odd they want you to make an ebay sale off of ebay - well think about it a little harder.
Even if the seller isn't a fraud, they are breaking ebay rules - circumventing buy it now fees, as well as asking buyers to contact them off of ebay to "make a deal".
Don't fall for it.
