Effects of using LR44 on XA

I've noticed that, while both Energizer 357 and EPX76 silver-oxide batteries are listed as a replacement for SR44, the 357 specifies 1.55v output, while the EPX76 specifies 1.5v output. Is that a difference worth considering, given that the SR44 is supposed have 1.5v output?

I have a volt meter, when the batteries goes down to 1.4 volt and underexpose they are perfect as mercury replacements.....

The FE2 will for sure take both LR44 and SR44 as will every other camera I have ever tried both in.

The whole FM/FE family along with the F3 have their own voltage stabilization circuitry and are pretty much omnivorous when it comes to their power source. If the battery(s) fit the compartment and total at least 2.2v they will work. Nikon even sold an external battery pack for them that used a pair of AA batteries and had no circuitry of its own. The cameras would work fine with virtually any common AA battery.

Nice info, Dwig!
