i recently acquired some kodak ektar 25 asa film. does anyone remember using this film, or have any suggestions about processing it? i assume it is c-41 chemicals but i'm not even sure about that.

Ektar 25 , I used in the 90's is/was a great film. It was extremely fine grained, and sharp and I think it was processed at any minilab.

I thought it was discontinued. Where did you find it?

If it is the original Ektar it will be several years out of date and probably not worth using for anything important.

In its day it was excellent film but todays film is far better.

It is C-41 processed...

thanks y'all!

it is very much out of date... i teach high school seniors (18 year olds) and i'm thinking that the film is older than they are.

but i found it very cheap on ebay and thought i'd give it a whirl in my old argus matchmatic. the metering on that camera is set up for slower speed films it works ok with 100 if it's not too sunny, but i have to use the smallest aperture and it can still overexpose. i'm going to mostly shoot slower black and white and slide films with it, but i thought i'd give this a try. maybe it will look interesting, or barring that normal
