First film through the Yashica Electro 35 GSN

I have just posted a few photos from my first film. I took some shots along the beach (South China Sea) this afternoon just after sunset. Various web sites make the point that this camera is very good for hand held low light photography - so I thought I'd try it out. See photos at ...

Yes! no problem. The shots look great. The lens is excellent. The shutter is very quiet and imparts no movement to the camera whatsoever (unlike an SLR).

One photo in particular is remarkably sharp (beach shelter). When I enlarged the image in 'Picasa 2', I could read the names of some of the countries in the World Cup Draw on the sign on the right hand side of the photo. Imagine the results if I had used a tripod and the photo was not digitally processed! (pixels must take the edge off the resolution).

An impressive camera.
