HI All,

I have a problem with my mint looking GSN that seems to underexpose.

I have replaced POD
I have a clean battery contacts
Red and Yellow lights work.
checked battery voltage and is fine.

In daylight it takes great photos but it seems to lack the low light situations.

As a test, at f16 indoors with lights on at night it should be shooting at 4 seconds with asa 400 but instead fires after only 1.

I read alot about this problem - could it be dirty contacts (in lense or bodY)? Will a bit of contact spray help?

Please someone help as I love the sharpness of this little magic camera.

we need some sample shots, show us. If there's a bright light at night shining directly to the meter, it might fool the meter to fire off only 1 second. Depends what your scene is like really. Let us see it.

Will it expose for 4 seconds if you cover up the light sensor? If so, and given that it's OK in daylight, there's unlikely to be anything wrong with the camera and, as Bronney says, it's likely to be a room light shining into the sensor.

If it only exposes for 1 second maximum under any circumstances, then there's a problem.
