Hi there. I've recently obtained a Yashica Electro 35 G that looked great and well looked after. Needless to say, the POD was completely gone. After replacing the POD, everything seems to be working fine apart from the exposure counter. It always stays at 'S' and when I advance the lever, the counter moves slightly, just to return to 'S' straight after. I've also changed the light seals, but it doesn't seem to cause the problem. There is another thread here with the same question where it was suggested that a bulged film door might be causing the problem, but in my case it wasn't it. I've turned the Internet upside down and found no answer. It's super frustrating! Does anyone here have any suggestions?

Time to open it up to find the problem. Just because you replaced the door seals doesn't mean a bit of it could not have gotten into the works. Levers and springs get worn out and weak, and could need some adjustment. Won't know until you look.
