I'm afraid I have hazed the viewfinder lens trying to remove a glue speck with a cotton swab and iso. I didn't expect it to be plastic! Was it always like this or just on later models? If not then I'll try to find a replacement rangefinder assembly with glass elements.

Check for plain glass microscope slides (they're available from most scientific equipment suppliers like Edmund/Fischer but will probably be much cheaper on ebay ) You can cut a new window from one
