Recently my cousin gave me a box of unused 35mm film and I decided to take some of it to japan for 2 weeks. I've never shot slide film before and there were 2 rolls of 160T in the box he gave me. He said the box was full of film purchased around 2005.

My problem is that the last roll of 160T I shot, I forgot to set the ISO and exposed everything with it set at 100. I'm using a leica M6 and there is only 2 notches between each ISO interval, the only labeled notches are 100, 200, 400 etc. all the standard speeds of films but not marked for stuff like 125 or 320.

I shot the roll in daylight and am wondering if I've ruined the whole roll by overexposing at ISO 100.

anyone got any advice?

I'm no expert, but I did the same thing recently when I shot a roll of 100 speed film at iso 64 from previously loaded Kodachrome. Slide film should be underexposed if anything, so overexposing by one stop or almost a stop in your case won't be good, but it shouldn't be fatal, either. Perhaps some of your slides will make it look like a sci-fi movie, where Japan is about to be destroyed by the sun about to go super nova. Post some pics when they come back.

Is it possible to pull the first-developer time on E6 ? I can't remember ! Ask at the lab you use, and if it is possible by half a stop or so then the cost will go up as the roll(s) will have to be developed on their own because of the different timing.

oh good, yeah i've got some shots of geisha that I got on the run in kyoto that i'm really eager to see. I hope i'm in the green here.

The 160T is to the best of my knowledge a Tungsten film, meant to be exposed under halogen light (3200K). If you use that in daylight you will get a strong blue cast. Some times this is perceived as "arty", but in many cases it is not desirable.

Your mileage might vary.

Surprised that no-one else commented on this
