Has anyone "heard" anything about a possible English language international version of the German PhotoKlassik magazine?

Hi Rob,
recently there has been a statement from one of the regular PhotoKlassik authors on the biggest German film photography forum:
Yes, they are working for the introduction of a worldwide edition in English of PhotoKlassik.
I think that would be great, it is an excellent magazine.

Yes, I've been seeing some stuff about it through facebook: apparently there is going to be a kickstarter campaign for this at the end of April. My understanding is that they need 3000 subscriptions to make this doable.
I haven't backed a kickstarter project in a while, I will for this.
I've seen a little of the magazine on line and it looks pretty good. I don't read German so any written content is beyond me. I do like that the magazine is about film photography. And it seems to be about the image and process more than the gear?

Hi Rob,
the original German PhotoKlassik print magazine is about current film photography. So about real photography and photographers. It is not a magazine for camera collectors (there are two special magazines in Germany for camera collectors and camera history).
It covers all relevant topics for current film photographers:
- news, introduction to new products
- "how to", educational articles for beginners
- "how to", educational articles for advanced and experienced photographers
- test reports about film cameras
- test reports about films, developers, photo papers
- darkoom techniques
- slide projection
- alternative processes
- introductions of very good photographers
- interviews
- new exhibitions
and some other topics I've just overlooked for this small overview
.
The print quality of the magazine is very good. And there is extremely little advertizing in it. So you pay for real content, and not for adverts.
Cheers, Jan

The folks at PhotoKlassik are finishing up their promo video, I was told it will be ready sometime next week, then they are launching their Kickstarter.
The international version will be printed as the current version is printed; high quality paper and will be 100 pages each issue.
The offer for kickstarter backers will be the first year's subscription (quarterly publication) for $49 including postage to "any country in the world except PRC or North Korea." Regular sub price will be $60.
Target date for first issue is delivery by October 2017.
I'm looking forward to this!
