Hi everyone,
I wanted to get a 4x5 enlarger so, I bid & won an 8x10 Omega Super Chromega for $260. Is this like a multi Thousand $$ enlarger?? Good thing I do shoot up that big (Negs & Plates)
Anyway, some of us here spend real money & time & love on buying the right Leica lenses .... So what enlarging lens do you use to project your perfect 35mm image to paper. I've collected a 50mm f4 EL Nikkor, Rodenstock 50mm f/2.8 Rogonar-S & 80 f/5.6 Rodagon & 75mm f4 Componar-C.
I went to Xbay and these little guys are going for $20-60. Didn't I just spend 400 times that on a Leica lens ...
So what / who do you like & dislike about enlarging lenses ...
I need one for each format I shoot... 35, 6x6, 6x9, 4x5, 8x10.
Thanks,
Steve

I use a Schneider 135 Componon-s for 4x5 (and for macro when I put it on my camera!)

Well-known
For 35mm I use a 50mm focotar 2 lens; for 120 I use a 80mm Rodagon.

The Rogonar and Componar lenses are only good to be thrown away, but the Nikkor and the Rodagon are OK.
Erik.
